Thank You for promising that greater things have yet to come.
In Isaiah 43, You tell us of Your mighty deeds during the Exodus, how You split the sea and extinguished the enemies of the Israelites.
But then You tell us to “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” (Isaiah 43:18-19).
You are not telling us in this passage to forget the bad things of the past. Here, You are telling us of Your power, of the great works You’ve done, of the even greater works that are still to come.
“Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (43:19)
“I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do EVEN GREATER things than these…” -Jesus (John 14:12)
Greater things have yet to come,
Greater things are still to be done.
I claim that promise.
Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
